What time can I arrive?
Anytime after 15:00. Tell us your arrival time when you check-in online.
For Machico Beach Comfort contact us in advance if you expect to arrive after 22:00.
What time should I leave?
Anytime before 10:00.
Am I met in person?
No. Arrival is contactless.
How do I get the keys?
You are sent the code to the lockbox containing the keys the day before arrival.
What happens if there is a problem getting the keys or opening the door?

Text messages in your native language are always better than phone calls.
Where is the apartment?
Google knows! You are sent directions the day before arrival.

How do we check-in?
Check-in is online - we recommend at least 48 hours before arrival.
Why do we check-in online?
You booked contactless arrival and are NOT met in person.
Why do we need to provide our identification details, date of birth etc?
All guests staying in licenced tourist accommodation in Madeira must provide these details by law.
Can we provide our identification details by email or booking.com messages?
Booking.com do not recommend sharing personal information on their platform because it is not secure (unlike our website).
How much is tourist tax?
Up to €2 per guest per night with exemptions for children under 13.
When is tourist tax paid?
After check-in and before arrival.
How is tourist tax paid?
You are provided with a link to pay the tax by card on our website. We do not accept cash.
Is tourist tax paid everywhere I stay?
At present tourist tax is paid only in Funchal and Machico.
I have an early flight. Can I drop my bags off before 15:00?
We are sorry, but we dont have secure/monitored luggage storage.
I have a late flight. Can I leave my bags after 10:00?
We are sorry, but we dont have secure/monitored luggage storage.
Do you provide a shuttle service to/from the airport?
We can book at taxi for you but you can probably do so cheaper using booking.com or Bolt!
Are towels provided?
Yes, for use in the apartment (not on the beach).
Are bed sheets provided?
Yes. Extra bedding is also available.
Can toilet paper be flushed down the toilet?
Yes in small pieces only. Never flush condoms, sanitary towels, baby wipes or similar.
Does the apartment have an iron?
Yes - and an ironing board!
Does the apartment have a hair dryer?
Yes.
Is there heating?
Yes. Some apartments have heaters with remote controls.
Use the +/- button to increase/decrease the temperature.
Does the apartment have a dehumidifer??
Yes but in some cases this is part of the air conditioning rather than a separate unit.
How do I cancel?
Contact us if you booked directly, otherwise contact the website you booked with.
Will I get a refund if I cancel?
If you cancel more than 7 days before arrival you will normally get a full refund.

Most apartments have parking nearby - see main property descriptions.
What should I do if there is an electrical or plumbing problem?
Report any problems as soon as possible by WhatsApp (+44 7879 495105) or Email (admin@madeiracomfort.pt).
